Since 2014 Agustín Cocola-Gant is a Research Fellow at the Institute of Geography and Spatial Planning, University of Lisbon. He holds a PhD in Human Geography from Cardiff University and a PhD in Art History from University of Barcelona. Currently he is the PI of the Smartour project. The project explores the role of Airbnb in driving real estate investment and neighbourhood change in both Lisbon and Porto. In 2013 he was researcher at the Spanish Academy in Rome where he conducted the project called “The politics of the past in fascist Rome”.
